1864 implement lift
The mower deck cylinder will not go up/down, even with no deck on the tractor. There seems to be very little pressure in the lines at the control valve.
The PS works good without a lot of noise but it does make a little more noise in one direction than in the other. The transmission seems to pull okay except it does slow down (maybe too much) some when pulling a grade. Someone on another forum suggested there are check valves in the steering box that may/may not control the pressure going to the implement lift. Needless to say, I'm a little reluctant to start taking that thing apart looking for something I know nothing about unless that's where the problem likely is. Any advice?

This must be an uncommon failure in an 1864. Dealer service department had no idea either.

I just discovered today that I can saw the steering while back and forth and while the wheels are moving, I have enough pressure to the control valve that the deck will go up and down.
Anybody want to take a guess?
