Default Q42A drive chain sprocket adjuustment?
I was moving snow today after putting the Q42A back together after the broken latch pin "issue". I was all finished with the driveway and cleaning up a couple of areas when the drive chain fell off. Broken keeper on the master link. I found the spring keeper laying in the drive and it looks like it just rusted out so I just replaced the link but while doing so I noticed the sprocket shaft seems loose, has a lot of radial play. Is this play taken care of with just an adjustment of the two tension bolts or is something wore out?

If the shaft has radial play, then either the bearings or shaft are worn. Time to take it apart and see what's going on.

Matt, just to be clear, when I stated "sprocket shaft seems loose" what I was referring to is the shaft that the sprocket assembly pivots on, for the chain tension adjustment. The shaft that the sprocket spins on is fine. I'll be taking the drive shaft apart today to correct the u joint alignment/phasing and want a good understanding of what it should be like so I can fix both issues while I'm at it.
