axle tube
Could some one out there tell me if the farmall cub that has the similar tranny/rear end as our gear drives have 3 things that will Allow it to work with a cub?? One, will the axle tubes bolt up in place of the cast axle tubes to a cub cadet gear drive tranny/rear end assembly? Two, would the longer one be made out of cast as well or regular steel that can easily be welded on without the worry of getting the correct procedure like cast? Three, will the longer right side bolt up to the left side if it will bolt up at all? If anyone has any suggestions where to post this questions by all means let me know or move it please!
Got some interesting gears turning in my head about a 4x4 and have to solve this one major problem and think the rest will be doable by me or my brothers skills!

I can tell you the original housing is what was used in the older Farmall Cubs. they had reduction housings on both sides that dropped down that had the reduction gears in it. then the axles came out of that. the Cub didn't have a reduction housing on the front like the Cub Cadets, they were cast iron reduction housings on each side

You too on the 4x4 huh, Vince and I just talked about that over the weekend. I have pretty much solves the front diff problem but the transfer case is my issue... I'm still working it out. I don't want an articulated beast..
