cracks me up, wishing for snow....
Im in MA. Yesterday was blue and nice after a month of some pretty cold weather, with snow. Went out and scraped the remaining snowpack/ice layer that was built up. It was so much fun I went and did my neighbors also who has a long drive and was packed down pretty good to where even a small slope they had to sand. All dry now! It was fun when the blade got under it just right and I was cruising along with the snow/ice chunks flying off to the side. Then went another neighbor up... nope, drive clear. Then a neighbor down the other direction. Dang, nope, also clear. So now I have to wait a few days for some more snow. ![]() (get out there fast and plow it before it melts......!) |

Only seat time I want is cutting grass on a nice HOT day.

I am glad you all like pushing snow.
I am perfectly content to let my Cub Cadet 1250 Nightmare hibernate until spring.

Not that I like the snow all that much as we usually don't get large amounts here in Oklahoma. It's more about an opportunity to get the Cub out. I work so much that I don't get a lot of play time so I'll take it when I can.

ssechrist and bolivier, takings some action shots or footage?? A couple of inches around here is about the most we get. I've been able to score dozer blades for the Suburban and both WF and NF Cubs, but snow throwers for the Cubs are just next to impossible to find here.
I'd like to get one at some point, so I may have to buy out of state and have it shipped. Never too many implements you know... |

No action shots here. My blade is covered in snow sitting in the back yard... My drive way is only one car deep and three cars wide so no need to really clear it. It would be fun but I've been too lazy to put the blade on and put the tractor in the garage. I too have NEVER seen a thrower on CL around here.

Not to hijack, but I see you (bolivier) and my 147 come from the same hometown.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
