Is the sleeve kit the only option or is their a cat 0? Also how does it attach to the lift cylinder? Thanks

I think the 1712 shares the same frame size as a 782. You can find a cat 0 hitch for a 782 at

Does any one have a picture of how it hooks to the lift cylinder? Also is it an add on meaning that everything else works with it installed?

If you go to Extreme's website you can tell how the Cat 0 hitch attaches to the tractor and how it works. It uses the same ram that the OEM lift uses but allows more movement than the OEM lift and it keeps the same relative angle with the ground as it is lifting rather than swinging an arc like it does on the OEM lift. There is a rear plate that covers up the existing rear end and that is where the mechanical advantage is located. I do not know what the difference in lifting capacity between the two lifts is but I'm sure Extreme can tell you.

I don't think you can tell the difference in operation from a OEM or Exrteme cat 0 lift. I have one of each and can't tell the difference between the two. They use a piece of flat steel for the lift bar that attaches to the front rockshaft with a pin and it runs to the rear rockshaft that is on the rear frame plate. A sleeve hitch is completely different.
Here is what the lift bar looks like. There are 2 in this picture. The slotted end attaches to the rear rockshaft. The slot is to give the attachment some floating ability.

Sorry I can't find any pictures on my puter.
There is a hole on the left side of the bar I have pictured and it has a counter bore so that the head of the pin when installed is flush with the bar. The picture of the tractor has a red arrow of the hole in the frame where the pin goes in at. You will need to pull the tunnel cover off and put a cotter pin through the pin on the drive shaft side of the lift bracket. OAK Thanks for the pictures and info, the next time you have the tunnel cover off could you take some measurements for me? I am going to make it all my self.
Also is the diesel in the picture yours? Is it just gt or sgt? |
