Default New 105 owner

Good morning from north central Illinois. I just picked up a 105 hydrostatic GT for pretty much free. It ran a year or so ago. The owner parked it because it sprang a fuel line leak.

My plan is to bring it back to new looking condition. I have no real use for it other than I like cool vehicles. My other project is a 1969 M715 5/4 ton Military pick up. One day I would like to own a porter-cable tractor as well. We had one when I was a boy.

I'm sure that I will have questions along the way, but will try to search before asking.

One that I do want to ask up front: what documentation is worth investing the $$ in to learn more about the 105? I saw owner manuals and parts manuals on ebay. Worth it, it just search the internet?

Thanks,
George

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
