Default New to OCC

Well I will keep this short, my name is Leigh and I live in Ontario. When I was 13 years old my grandfather got a 1968 125 from his sister that sat for years not running. He did what he could to fix it up, and we ran it for years at our cottage. Last year my grandfather passed and my uncle took over the cottage, the tractor had sat for a few years and as am good with engines and stuff he ask me to have a look. Well long story short, it needs some work, but he wasn't interested in putting money in to it so he gave it to me. So over the next year I am going to be bring her back up the day she left the show room. any help or tips on parts or things to do to her would be great thanks

Welcome!
I grew up on a 125 so I am partial to that model.

What part of Ontario?
I lived in Winchester/Inkerman for two years 13 years ago.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
