I picked up this aerator a few months back while looking at a beatup old skidsteer on craigslist. When I got the aerator it had already been modified to fit on a cat0 3-point. The guy used it on his sod farm years ago and pulled it behind a JD318. I was intrigued by the look and weight of it so I asked what he would take for it. He said he would take $50 for it since he was gonna scrap it anyway. I did not have a tractor with a cat 0 but I could not pass it up. Now that I have a 1572 with a 3 point I can do some aerating. (Maybe I should have used the aerator to justify the 1572 purchase to my wife! haha)

Hey, great idea. Buy the implements to help justify the tractor purchase. Better patent that!!
Also better keep your toes away from that thing. Cool piece!

Ryan makes mostly pro turf equipment, all of them are built like a tank. You may find that you need some front weights, the unit you have should weigh in at around 800 pounds.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
