Tire Tip
I was using my 784 to blade some snow. It has Carlisle Ag's on the rear w/chains. As I hit a mound of snow, I got pushed around and that's when the "fun" started. Apparently, as the rear end was swinging around, the outer bead on one of the rear tires popped off. I limped back to the garage. It is zero degrees outside and now this problem. So, I spent a couple of hours trying to re-seal the bead and re-inflate the tire. I eventually was successful.
It seems, that these Ag's don't show well when they are under pressure. It "seems" there is a lot of "synthetic" material in the composition of the tire making it more rigid. Lesson learned, check your tire pressure other than casual observation...  .

Good Tip Roland! Sorry you had difficulty--seems like Murphy's Law is always at hand. Thanks for sharing this tip, as I have a couple of sets of those ags and will heed your warning.

Your luck sounds like mine! Glad you got it back on the bead, they can be a real
 I've noticed the ags don't show low pressure like a turf. But, depending on which ag you have they have a higher ply rating, so it makes sense. Most turfs are only 4 ply.

"The Limp Back" is no fun at all. I had a similar incident last winter. I had the blade on my 125 and was pushing back the snowbanks around my mailbox, when suddenly there was a loud hiss and a drop to the right. on of my original tires "unzipped" where the sidewall meets the tread. the real excitement was I was now blocking a lane on a 50 mph road! I was able to limp onto my driveway but couldn't get past the apron. I ended up running and stealing a tire off my 72. then I was able to slip-slide my way back up the hill to the shed and return the tire to its rightful owner. I was planning to replace the tires in the spring, but necessity moved that purchase ahead a few months for me. Live and learn!

That is why every GT tire I have is tubed. I spent the better part of an afternoon trying to get a bead to seat on a Carlisle Tru-Power. I threw the towel in and went and bought tubes.

I put tubes in all my Cubs. Piece of mind I guess.
