Default Are the 2182's hard to find?

How hard is it to find a nice 2182 and what is a fair price to pay for one with 500 to 800 hours on it? There are 2 on ebay for $3,500 and one on craigslist locally for the same although this seems high? I have not heard of any sold lately to get an idea on value.

$3500 is high for one unless it's had all the need to do stuff done to it. For $3500.00 you can have my 2182.

They're out there, my brother purchased one in PA for $2500 with nothing but a 54" deck. Too much, but what do I know. I purchased this POS 3 or 4 years ago with 4 flat tires that are shot and need replaced, front pto had tosted bearings, every piece of plastic is broken, crappy cyclops powder coating is flaking off, wiring is a complete mess (one of the worst I have seen) didn't run, dealer used about 2 tubes of RTV to seal the axle tubes and hydro together but it did come with the plastic tool box screwed down to the fender with 4 screws. What the heck was I thinking? Freeking Craigs List, gets me every time. Someday it will be as purdy as Mr. Sam's. Good luck!

I bought this late serial number one off of craigslist east of Cedar Rapids last spring for $1,300 but haven't seen any other deals that good on any Supers. This was a 2 owner with all the original paperwork, 60" Haban and 433 hours.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
