Check out this wild mod on this 1650. A can-o-peas (reference to 3 stooges) with some lunatic fringe on a 1650. Just thought the fringe was overboard and thought some might like to see.....I don't remember whether the ROPS canopy had fringe or not.

I agree AC, but I will wear my straw hat when I mow, which my nephew thinks looks ridiculous, but it sure beats having a situation like my neighbor's occur. He had to have the top part of his ear removed due to skin cancer.
bocephus1991...that sounds like Cheech and Chong! ![]() Cub Cadet 123

I seem to recall my Mom having a vinyl table cloth or porch swing canopy very much like what is pictured in the 1970's.
Sometimes you run what you got and are a free and independent thinker.

....table cloth....that's a hoot...shows you what I know, instead of using my table cloth for a canopy I have been using it for my superhero cape every time I mow my yard. It goes nicely with my jogging shorts, dress socks up to my knees and my manure kicker boots!![]() I guess not everything that came out in the '70's for cub cadets was meant to be highly fashionable 40 years later... That's the difference between rich people and poor people...
Rich people have a canopy over their bed, poor people have a canopy under their bed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
