Hello!
I just joined up and looking forward to hanging out with other Cub Cadet nuts. I'm located in Woodinville Washington, about 25 miles north of Seattle. I've owned my 125 for about 8 years or so and like all of you I love these old machines. Their durability and longevity is a real testament to the people who designed, engineered and manufactured these tractors so many years ago. But my cub seems to need something repaired every spring as I get her ready for another season of mowing and yard work and that's one of the other reasons I joined up, (finally). I'll post my question in the appropriate column on some PTO lever problems I can't seem to get a handle on and if anyone has any ideas I'd be most appreciative. Great website here, hat's off to the folks who created and maintain it! Best regards, Tony |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
