Default Draining hydro fluid on CC1541
I have the fluid and filter for changing the hydro on my CC 1541, but am not sure where the drain plug is or even if there is one.

How do you drain the fluid?

I just learned how to do this for my 1872. I believe yours is similar. There is a drain plug on the right, lower front surface of the differential housing. I went a bit further and also removed the rear cover. That allowed me to clean out any crud and give things a general inspection. You'll need a new cover gasket. I also coated the threads of the drain plug with teflon tape.

Don't even bother with the drain plug just remove the cover. Clean clean clean.
