There are some truly great people here at OCC. I have had dealings with several members since joining this group and all were first class. Today one of those deals kinda ran part way off the tracks due to a simple mistake. I messaged the other party we had a problem and within minutes was contacted with a phone number to call. Everything worked out and all is good now but this guys response just made my day. I will not call him out on it but I got a good long laugh out of it!

Honda used to have a commercial ('70's or '80's) and it said you meet the nicest people riding a Honda and I think the same is true for a cub cadet....You do meet some of the nicest people riding a cub cadet or..cup cadet, whichever you choose.

Just to update, after I posted this I found the missing parts folded into the packing. After two searches by me and one by my son we had still missed them. I called him back because he was worried about where they went. So all is good and we all had a good laugh about it.

I had a member send me his number to call when I had problems with a PTO. I had another member mail me a belt guard -he had one made extra when the shop made his own guard. Great guys here.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
