Discharge chute height problem?
Hello all. I recently inherited my dad's old SLT1500...which had sat unused for probably at least 2 years. I cleaned up the carburetor and got it started, and and now going back to fix other things.
My dad had long ago snapped off the discharge chute for the mower deck, and I went and re-ordered a new one. I was taking a look at it after attaching it, and am concerned about the height...it looks to me that the it doesn't ~ bend down enough to have any decent chance to block anything that gets kicked out. I'm linking to a picture and am hoping others can take a look and let me know if I'm correct or being too conservative/smoking something :-) Thanks in advance

Agreed, looks fine. It's main job it to keep things from flying up and gain distance due to trajectory. Like and artillery shell fired horizontal, no matter how fast, it hits the ground at almost the same instant as dropping something from the same height. Dropping something from 4" hits the ground quite quick.
