Default Should it stay or should it go

I finally picked up an 1882 I bought a week or so ago. This thing is unbelievable it is the nicest original super I have come across, this makes # 28 for me. Can't decide what to do keep or sell. I am not a cyclops guy as a rule, I have had 5 2182s but sold them all. This thing looks like it was never used. The entire tractor has one scratch that's it, all plastic is perfect, all original decals like new. The only thing I can find wrong was one of the 1882 decals was peeling so I took it off and ordered new. I put a pretty nice 50C deck that I had on it. With the new style Cub Cadet seat this thing looks like it could be sitting on a dealer's floor today. What do you cyclops experts think?

Well from the smile on the front of it,it wants you to keep it,once it is sold you will regret it.

Wow that is in phenomenal shape! A time capsule! What was the back story with that? Hard to believe that it's not a resto. You NEVER see a Cyclops look that good...

Beautiful machine in pristine condition. That series did come with Halogen headlights however according to the marketing brochures for those years that the series was made so the grille assembly is newer.

I don't know much about the history on this one. It is definitely not restored.
I was told by an expert near Lancaster that some of these came through without the halogen lights. The parts list picture showed both set ups. I might have to sell to get another diesel.

After sleeping on it I think having a really really nice tractor that you don't want is not as good as having a nice one you do want. So the question becomes what's the 1882 worth I posted the question (with out pics in "what's it worth" but did not get a lot of response. I have sold a couple 2182s for over $2700. They were nice but not this nice. I know pics look better than real most of the time but in this case you really can't appreciate the condition of this tractor from a pic it is darn near perfect. I would think a 2182 is worth more than an 1882 but condition also plays a part too. Also might be better to sell in spring although I guess some body that wants it would want it any time.

I had an 1882 a couple years ago and it had the same headlights. Nice machine. I prefer the later Cyclops for a couple reasons. I'm not a big fan of the Mag 18, I like the later rock shaft, screens on the side panels and the later fuel tank. Just my 2 cents.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
