Default Expensive boots vs cheap boots

Why is it that everytime I buy expensive boots that are waterproof they really aren't? I have 2 pairs of boots that were over $100 from big name boot company's and neither pair can stop a single drop of water. About a month ago I got boots at Walmart for $35 and not only are they comfortable but I haven't had a wet foot yet, as a matter of fact I've never had a bad boot from walmart. Ok that's my rant for the day.

If you want your feet to be dry... Ya gotta wear your rubbers!

I've only ever had one pair of boots from walmart and iirc the soles split across the bottom.

I've had good luck with Gor-tex boots being waterproof. They're a little spendy though.

I have used the same type/ brand of shoes for 20+ years.
Flat bottom, mid height, red wings. They were made for people
that stand on concrete all day. I can walk across a floor covered with
liquid of any type and never slip. That's the reason I use them, but
they are not water proof and are not good for any other condition like
snow or ice. Last about 4 years then resole them once and the rest of
the shoe will be shot by then

I wore waterproof Redwings for 20 years in all kinds of weather. They were $200 a pair but the city paid $150 of it a year.

I like Georgia Boot Company, steel toe, insulated and waterproof for first 2yrs. TSC around 140$. I wear my boots everyday! With 2 pairs of socks. If they ever leak you just reoil them but i have never had to.

I've never had a "bad" pair of boots from Walmart either, however; I don't think a pair of Walmart boots has lasted me more than 2 years so take that for what it's worth.

I used to get my boots from wally world...they would last me maybe six months (boots are all i wear) got tired of buying a new pair all the time. I bit the bullet and soent 250 on a pair of slip on steel toed boots from redwing. Ive had them going on 2 years now and they are still water proof. And are not falling apart like the walnart ones... you really do get what ya paid for. The walmart ones would always get the toe ripped out from kneeling down working on stuff ir the sole would rip off these are holding up great

I have never bought any boot at Wal-Mart.

I used to be on my feet all day. Now, I sit more than anything. When I was on my feet all day, 1 year was all I'd get out of a boot. 2 at most.

When it comes to boots, you get what you pay for. $150 for a boot is cheap. Good boots are all over $200. The ones I'm wearing now were around $230. I got them in February. They should make it to about this time next year. I only buy the "name brand" stuff. Justin, Double H, Ariat, Red Wing.... Out of them all, Red Wing is my least favorite. They don't last near as long, not as comfortable, and weigh more. Or at least the last pair I ever wore (10yrs ago) were. The company I work for now will buy us (no more than) 1 pair a year. Red Wing is their choice. I may just buy my own.

Try Hytest foot rests.
Been wearing hytest safetry toes for 60 years.
oxfords as a boy and work boots later.
I don't own a pair of "tennis shoes" or nike as I guess they call them today.
I only have one pair of feet and I protect them.
just like eyes!
your results will vary, and some cattle were killed in the making of my boots.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
