Default First Cub

I just saved a 64 100 from the crusher. It was sitting on a 15' tall pile of engines. I have a few other green tractors, but this is my first cub. It is complete with deck and other than a few dents in the hood, is very straight. Fenders even look very good.
Im not sure what i will do with it yet but I do like the looks of it.

I don't have a pic of it on the pile. Didn't have my phone with me at the time.

Arrrgh, dern scrappers. I wish they all knew to just not take them To those places and they could get more money for them on eggs list and we could save more.

Very great find though, that would be cool to get the pic on the pile. I watched the claw guy over the weeknd grab a ford ranger that these two guys towed in and chuck it on the pile! Good luck with it and yes nice options!

Thanks all, the only good thing about this scrapper is that he is my cousin. I told him that if anyone brings in another tractor to set it to the side till I look at it. I know that he got rid of a JD 420 that was smashed up before I found out about it. He only pulled the engine which I grabbed.

Is that a creeper gear lever there? Or just something sitting in the hole?
Thought it looked like maybe bent over? Now that I look again I don't think so
Either way that's a great save!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
