50C spindle
Does anyone know how to disassemble a spindle off a 50C deck? I have it off the deck, but I am pretty sure the bearings are shot, the shaft is at an angle, and when you shake it, you can hear the bearing balls rolling around.
so I want to pull it apart, and see what need replacing, or if I have to replace the entire $250 piece, which on my unit is not worth it at this point. Or at least point me to a thread with the instruction for it... I don't want to destroy it, but I need to mow and cant afford the new spindle

Cubcadet.com has a parts breakdown for the 50c. The hardest part for me is getting the inside races out. Also, you do not need to spend 250, you just need new bearings and seals.

Here is the Parts breakdown for the 50C mower deck from the IH Parts Manual CPE-2B. It clearly indicates a ST-745 Spindle Bearing, which is also the bearing used on my 50C mower Deck.

The 50c that I have rebuilt are like the ones in the link. I have never worked one like the one in the picture. What model tractor is your on Roland?

The model of the tractor has NOTHING to do with the mower deck spindles.
The 50C was introduced during the 82 series tractors. The IH Parts Breakdown is in the Implement Technical Section on page #2.
