Just scored and NOS 54" GT deck for my 2264. I was doing the C-list check and ran across a brandy new 324 190 deck with the mule and carriage. Women that had it listed had bought it for her 1872. Got it for a Lew price after I explained that it is not designed for the 1872 and that she would need to replace a $400.00 PTO in order to use it. She is selling the 1872 also and I'll post a link in the C-List section.

Wow that is a awesome find. I missed a 1863 Tuesday for 150.00. It had a bad engine so he said, but the tractor looked new.

It's going to be a shame to take the welder to a brand new deck but it's going to get a set of flaps installed on the front edge like I did on my 48" GT deck. Then I'll pull the blades and never seize the spindles and anything else that needs to be able to be removed before I hang it under the 2264. Haven't decided if I'll sell the 48 or not.

It has never been mounted. 20 something years old brandy new. I haven't owned a new deck in about 30+ years, don't know if I can stand it.

Yeah wow that's incredible. And taking a welder to it........ouch. Speaking of Lew, I'm thinking he will be here soon to rib you again about a PO mod.
![]() I like it Sam. That's real nice for sure and ironic you found it on C list. Nice gesture of you selling the other for her. Looks like the deck is worth more than the tractor.

Here I is, Don't do it Sam, put away the welder and use it as is or glue the flap on or use velcro.

I hate taking the welder to it but after my experience with the 48GT blowing grass out the front and it packing up the top of the deck I'm going to mod this one the same. At least it keeps the top of the deck and the engine cleaner. Pic is what I did to the 48.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
