I recently acquired a cub 1541. The solenoid was in a bucket of parts and I need to know where the wires go and where the battery wires connect. On this site is there a wiring diagram or anything or maybe someone has one in could take a picture of the battery area with the solenoid. There also is a green wire coming out of the wire harness on the right side if you were facing the front of the tractor. I have a picture but I need to figure out how I can post it
Also the person I got the tractor from said that the person he got it from said that the brake sensor switch that sets down underneath below the dash was bad. Usually on my wheel horses I have either bypass them in one way or another but on this tractor I think there's like 6 wires coming into that plug so I have not a clue. I hate to replace the switch if it is not bad. Before I go too far with this project I want to make sure that it runs and rolls If anybody might be a somewhat familiar with these you can mail me direct at clfan46@gmail.com |

Thanks for the diagram Sam. I had already found it and I think I've got things pretty well straightened out at this point. Next thing is to figure out how I can test that brake switch. I guess the first test will be just to get stuff hooked up and see if it does work. In looking at the diagram I think things could be a real bear the way they have chained all the interlock and safety switch stuff together it's almost like if one thing goes it's going to affect the whole chain or at least other things in that chain

I checked my mail and there's nothing there. Also check the spam folder and nothing there. But that's okay because as I said I already found a diagram

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
