Default Adding a Hydraulic Pump is a?

I saw this pic and it looks like I could just change the fan shroud and be able to add live hydraulics to a QL 1200!!??

That sure looks like the pulley on the flywheel of the 1200 I got apart.

Are the gear drive quietlines like the older style gear drives, with the three pin driver and such? It may change the length of the driveshaft...but that could be cut and re-welded. Are you thinking of adding a NF hydro lift under the sheetmetal?

My 1200 got the exact same pulley behind the drive plate for the clutch.

The difference is Cub Cadet has an external fan shroud that partly covers the pulley.

I guess the external shroud would reject grass better,

BUT, I will be looking for an internal shroud before I put the 1200 back together!!

Earlier Cub Cadets had the 'internal' screen, too. The external one seems to be more durable, so perhaps that had something to do with the change.

You could use the drive cup off a NF that has the pulley already on it that should work. You might run into some problems with the height of the frame rails if your going to bring it out the side like a NF hyraulic lift.

The 1200 I just took apart has the drive cup shown on the Greene tractor, exactly.

The clutch driver is bolted to the four holes shown on the Greene tractor.

Just the screen is in the way, and when I last looked at it, the "bosses" that connect to the screen looked too high!!

The flywheel might need a 4.5" grinder mod. !!

I would try to put the pump under the hood.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
