Talking Plow Day in NC

We have finally done it! My friend Robert and I have arranged for a plow day in NC. We found a farmer that has had plow days before but with big tractors. Now he is going to let us join them.

The event will be held in Albemarle NC. About 45 min due east of Charlotte. It will be held on the second weekend of September on Saturday the 11th. Time is still unknown but im sure it will be started by 9:00am

Jim Moore is the man who's land we will be on and he said it would be fine if you came the night before to camp. No hookups and "don't catch his woods on fire!"

Address: 44273 Moutain View Church Rd. Albemarle NC, 28001

You can PM me if you have more questions or concerns. I hope to see some of you there especially the NC boys.

By the way, Mr Jim says this is some of the hardest red clay in NC so be prepared for that. I dont really know how to tell you to prepare, but we're gonna give it our very best!

David, This is great news! I guess this means I've got to put my engine back in the 122 and get it ready to plow. Work has slowed down so I should be able to make this. Will need help with the plow setup tho. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Vince and some of his buddies from SC will be coming up. Vince started the "Redneck PlowDays" in Pickens SC so there will be some experienced plow junkies attending. They will be coming up and spending the night. Actually the night before, in Oakboro NC, there will be a lawn mower pull and they want to attend it and maybe even participate. I think this is going to be a pretty good thing!

Hey Duke, I don't have the sleeve hitch, to be able to use a plow for the 100. Hopefully, the 149 may be ready in time, but I'm not sure.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
