I wish I was closer and I had a plow for one of my Cub Cadets. I would definitely try and make it if I was closer.

I hope to see you there. I have a 102 I am bringing and possibly a 125. I only have enough weights for one tractor for right now. I am coming from Marysville. Look me up if you can. I have plowed before, but have not had good luck since I am only plowing a garden not a field.

We have not had any decent rain showers in the last 4 to 6 weeks. The soil is dry and hard. Someone tried to plow with a big tractor and plow today. They had problems getting the plow in the ground.
The weather forecast has a 50% chance of rain in it for Friday morning. I'm planning to go to plow day site after work and start a few lands for Saturday. I will let you know how it plowed tomorrow night. It will be hard plowing if it don't rain. The plow day is a go even if it doesn't rain. |

I tried to plow Friday afternoon. I had problems getting the plow in the ground. I stood on Dad's plow when he plowed a round. We still had places the plow wouldn't go in. I weigh around 270 pounds.
I help set up a 3 point-3 bottom plow. There were cracks 1 inch wide in the bottom of the furrow. This was 7 inches deep. I hate to see anyone make a trip when the plow conditions aren't real good. I will leave it up to you. |

The soil was too dry/hard for the garden tractors to plow. The big tractors/plows had problems plowing too. There were several big plows that broke while plowing. One was a D6 pulling a pull type 4 bottom plow that broke the hitch. 90 to 95 temps all week with 10 to 20 mph wind dried the soil out.
This what I plowed with at the plow day: ![]() Yes it is wrong brand/color.......most farm with that color stuff in my area. I still had a blast driving it. There was 360 pounds of wheel weights added to the plow to get it to go in. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
