Default The phone call

Just got a call from my wife. She tells me that on her way to work she see's a Cub at a garage sale and I better go look at it. Whats up with this picture. Could this be true love. She already thinks I am nuts for having so many Cubs and she is now feeding my addiction. SSSSSWWWWWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT.

This particular tractor is a really sweet 122 with the original rubber seat in great shape, has the headlight panel , been repowered at some point because the motor is black. Has the bracket in the rear for the grote tail light but it looks like there was never a light mounted. Original owners manual and the paint is in really good condition. No attachments with it but that is O.K. We haggled for a few minutes and I now have a new one to add to the fleet. $130 I think is a reasonable price. Pics to follow on my way to get it now.

Congrats, on your 122! Can't wait to see your pics. By the way, you have a great wife. Now you'll have to do something nice for her.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
