My wife was browsing for sewing machines and asked me if I would be interested in an 1864 with three point hitch. I said show me the pics. Now it’s in my driveway.

Yeah there’s nothing wrong with it, and it was just serviced prior to selling it by a cub dealer, and the rear tires are fluid filled, looks like antifreeze. My plan is to take the hitch for my super and flip the tractor. It doesn’t have a PTO but the hitch will be nice.
Yeah Lew, I have a lot of tractors here now... and a lot of sewing machines. Like antique sewing machines, treadles and early electrics. I’ve been spending some time using my tech school skills from 25 years ago to rewire some of them. I wonder if I can talk her into painting one IH red... ![]()

How is no one paying attention to the fact that his wife is finding these Cubs?
How much does your wife charge to train other wives to do this??? ![]() ![]()

...and I've stopped looking for cubs for now because I want to build a shed to store the ones I have and plan to keep. I keep hearing "you have all these cubs, can I get this sewing machine?"
![]() The last four I brought home were found while looking for sewing machines... ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
