Bought a 2011 in generally better condition than my 2013 GT2000.
What things might I want to switch over from the 2013 that are a better design, better part etc etc? What's the black disc on the back of the wheels for ? Why is the exhaust pipe on the 2013 so much larger than the 2011?

Can anyone comment on the exhaust?
Surprised to see the frame/hinge design is different. Did the CH640 go to a larger exhaust from 2011 to 2013 to increase the power or do I have something weird here?

The exhaust is not bigger on the later models. They just run the small exhaust inside a larger tube the surrounds the small tube. So weird for a company that looks to save pennies everywhere.

Is the larger pipe a heat shield around a smaller inner ?
I would guess at the black disc being a brace/strengthener for the wheel Oz

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
