Default Sleeve hitch dethatcher?

Hi all,
I just purchased a 48" Brinly dethatcher

I'd like to fab up a sleeve hitch style adapter for it.
Has anyone attempted anything like this?

The one concern I have is the lifting straps not having enough free travel, Fabbing up new straps shouldn't be a problem.

$89 From Home Depot online.
Bundled with a 38" sleeve hitch box scraper for $189 for free shipping.

Of course the day it arrived (Today) I find the identical box scraper on CL for $75. Gonna try to return the HD one and grab the CL one

You could probably use this to convert it over to a sleeve Hitch implement:

Is the Cub you are going to use have a manual lift?

A manual lift Cub Cadet has a lock out so the lift arm can move as needed.

You could make some lift straps with a longer slot in them.

I'd just leave it a trailer type. Then it would ride over bumps and dips better. And you'll be abl to take a corner with it. If its mounted solid on the back of a brinly hitch its gunna dig in and scratch the crap out of the lawn

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
