I have been looking for a 682, 782, 1810, or an 1811. I finally found one, an 1811 with 1080 hrs, in pretty good condition and it runs great!
Here's a couple pictures

Thanks guys!
I can't figure out why it has those decals.. The hood and grill has some scratches on it, so someday I'll repaint the hood and put new ones on.

I love my 1811 and find it to be capable of anything I want to do. I remember someone on this forum said that a HYDRO would not pull steadily up a hill without adding more forward on the hydro control. Mine pulls up any hill in my yard without slowing down or needing more power. I though that's what the governor did. It looks like you might have had a lazy PO by the white paint where the gas cap is since the tank is white around the filler cap. Take your time and enjoy it while you make it like new. One good thing to do regardless of what the PO said is to change the oil in the engine and the tranny asap. My PO said that he had just changed the engine oil and when I drained it, it looked like old black tar!

Thanks! I haven't checked the rear, but the motor oil doesn't look to old.
I also hope to put a sleeve hitch on it like you did yours, already have someone making the bottom bracket w/ ears.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
