My question is, I have a 650 hr,1864 Cub Cadet and I've notice a little hesitation when I go forward or in reverse. It is not bad, but I didn't get any. I removed the drive shaft, and both bearing ends have a little play. I don't see any wear on the drive shaft spline ends, and was wondering if I could get by with new bearing ends or would you replace everything.They want $130.00 just for the drive shaft.

That wouldn't cause the problem your having. The shaft spins the same direction all the time. You'll get a lot of vibration if the shaft is failing. Have you changed the fluid with Hy-Tran and replaced the filter? You also need to check the linkages and trunion controls on the side of the pump. That's where I would start. Good luck and take some pics for us.

Driveshafts very seldom need replaced. Unless it's bent, or worn on one of the ends, I'd reuse it. I'm with Oak though, I think your problem is one of the things he mentioned.
