1811 help
My girlfriends dad has a 1987 CCC 1811. It caught fire a couple months ago and I started working on it for him replacing the wiring harness and other items burnt behind the fire wall. While replacing the harness I looked at the old one and and fond that a wire was burnt/casing melted. I looked at the wiring diagram the R. Bendell made and fond out it was the positive wire for the amp meter. Asked my dad and he said that that wire probably touched something. Today, hooked up the new wiring harness to the battery amp meter not hooked up and I heard something snap/ pop and I know it has to be electrical. All help is appreiciated.
 it makes me confuzeled.

Sounds like a short somewhere. You will have to go over the wiring connections and electrical components to see what "arced" or burnt and focus in on that area.
