Default 1810 leaking oil lines

Hello, I have a new problem with my 1810.

At higher rpm, engine oil's leaking from the oil lines that run into and out of the oil filter. It's as though there were some obstruction in that circuit and the lines are over-pressured. Both the input and output side leak through the fittings on the ends of the lines (not the flared fittings, but the crimped connection of the brass and the rubber/fabric hoses themselves.) Has anyone had the hoses actually deteriorate to where they'd leak oil like this? Or has anyone had an obstruction downstream from the filter? Oil pressure light acts normal.

yes the ones on my 1872 are so bad when you touch them they fall apart. If you cant find some good used ones, I got mine from A.J., then just take them off and take them to a hose shop and they can make them. If the engine has ever been flooded with gas, from a bad fuel pump, it will make the lines soft and fail a bit earlier than normal.

OK, Vince, thanks! New oil lines, comin' up! We bought this little tractor in 1989. We mow 2 1/2 acres, so it gets a lot of use, and has been a good reliable unit, so I shouldn't complain. Thanks for the AJ tip.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
