Default M18 carb rebuild kit

I am going to rebuild the carb on my M18 in my 1812 and I am having trouble finding the correct kit number to use. It has the Kohler adjustable carb. Any help would be appreciated. Also if there are any instructions on how to rebuild a carb, that would be great too, I have never done one before.

Ok guys, here is the info for you:

M18 serial number: 1531533376

1812 serial number: 2050601U755845

Could you tell me what year each of these was manufactured?

I did some looking and I think the carb kit I need is KH-25-757-02. Does this sound correct?

According to that Serial Number, it indicates that you have a Walbro Carb. Thus, you will need 25-757-11S

Here are the two kits available for the M-18....

He said he has a Kohler carb, so then he needs the other one.

That is why I gave him two choices. (A) The carb could have been changed from original, and (B) the term Kohler Carb can be generically used.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
