Default ? Quick re-lease for a # 122 ?

Manual shows in mounting a snow thrower that there are 2 variants. An earlier bolt on to the frame for the QA36A snow thrower & an older 2 hole bolt mounting system.

Was wondering if there is a add on type re-lease that can be bought to add on the # 122 frame ?

Or if they even can be purchased?

Nik,

Nik,
Nik I was going to try that same alteration as you are talking about. I cut up an old frame to get the quick release piece off of it. I still have that piece if you need it. You will also need to mount Frankenstein bolts on the frame also. I was going to mount a QA36A on my old 102 but sold the tractor. I have a new found love of the 82 series machines so I have got rid of all my narrow frames except for my 124 and 125. 124 soon to be gone.

Check your PM.

To mount the quick release onto my narrow frame will have to be a future project, we had 7" dumped on us yesterday & I have to get this thing throwing snow pronto. The older I get I seem to be that white stuff.

Grinding the welded posts on the QA36A snowthrower so that it would fit on the narrow frame, I improvised & fabricate a piece so that it would mount onto the lift arm. Not preety but in a rush it will do & does the job.

The snowthrower had 2 1/2" bolts welded, so that it would fit in the cradle of the quick release., I air ground the bolt's off for that needed hole, so it would mount on the frame.

nikster is the QA piece you are referring to? Not sure I have the return springs but they can still be had at a Cub dealer or the sponsors what ever is easier for you.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
