I did something that I never thought I would do. I traded my restored 1512 for a 1772. I told myself that I would only sell it or trade for a Super Diesel. I kinda thought the chances of finding a Super Diesel were slim to none. Well I came across one that was in good shape and worked a tractor for tractor swap. The 1772 is the same year as my 2072 and I thought it would make a nice matching set. Letting go of the 1512 was hard, but I thought I had better do it. Here's a 1512 pic and a couple of the 1772 before I get started on making it new again.

Congrats on the trade!! I think you did great! 1772's are nice tractors. I love mine. Does your's have a rear PTO and 3 point on the back? Hard to tell from the pics. The paint also looks to be original and in good shape. Once again, congrats!!!!

The 1772 does not have a rear pto or 3pt. I plan to add the 3pt during the resto. It is all original and needs some love. I want it to look as good as my former 1512. The trailer my Grandfather had made maybe 40yrs ago. I put a new axel and wheels on it when I restored it. It used to be a flat bed, but I added the rails and the tool box.

Good deal to see you got it, I call the guy about it, but just a little too late
thought about working out a deal on your 1512 after talking with the guy.

That's a great looking trailer. I've got to find a storage box like that for mine.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
