I have this snow blower model: oem-190-032 mounted on my cub 1550 for about 6 winters The shaft that comes out off the bottom of the right angle drive (the shaft that has the pully attached not the love joy connection) is too short for the pully, the part were the belt rides on the pully is below the shaft and I've wore out 4 pullys so far. I was wondering if anybody knows who makes the right angle drive so I could see if I could get a longer shaft so the pully fits correctly, they don't have any infor for the right angle drive on the MTD website except to buy a new one. I live in Alaska and we get a lot of snow and I use the snow blower a lot.
I've thought about taking it apart and taking the shaft to a machine shop to have a longer shaft made. Any ideas??? |

![]() ![]() I've had to move your post to the general section of the site due to this being a MTD product and not a Cub Cadet product. I went to parts tree and I didn't know the year of your thrower so I used 2010. Here's a link to the parts break down. You can buy a new right angle drive or order parts for it. http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=m...n=6901933G0002 |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
