Default Once again: Difference between tillers
Hi,

What is difference between #1A and #2 tiller? Is #2 a lot better than #1A? I am looking to buy a tiller for my 1450. That is reason I am asking this.

Tero the #1, 1A shipped without the extensions and you could add those at a later time where the #2 shipped with both extenstions. The #2 has a larger cover over the tines and not the two extenstion covers the #1's needed. Some of the #2's have a 5/8 pulley on the gear box that will need to be swapped out for the 3/8 pulley your 1450 will need. Other then that they are the same.

I had a #1 and #2 I saw know diffrence in them. and like Duke said, if you have a 5/8" clutch pulley you need the pulley on the 90* gearbox to have the same.

I have used my #1 on my 125 and 582. the 582 , I have a jackshaft to drive the tiller. short 5/8" belt to the jack shaft and the 1/2" belt to the gearbox. works grate.

the jackshaft is made from a mower deck spindle. got pics if you need to build one.
