Default 1440 question,will not move!

Friend of mine has a low(340)hour 1440 I may buy.(tractor only)It was working fine, but was seeping hydro fluid. He resealed it and changed the fluid but it would not move after that. It's been sitting outside untouched since last year.Any idea's on a value,or what could be wrong?

one place I would look is the hydro filter if its a napa or other auto parts filter it may have a check valve in it and it wont move also its a hydragear hydro pump they are not the strongest pumps but it should move the tractor as far as price 200 to 300.00 is what I would offer with no deck

also check the handle that pulls up to let you move it ( its on tunnel cover between dash tower and seat) runs down to pump etc.. If the nut come off where the threaded rod attaches it will not move. Also check fluid.

Cubdriver

Don't know if you ever picked this one up but I see Leadslingingdaddy is parting out and 1863. You may be able to buy the pump from him and just put a jumper hose on the hydro ports on it and use it in the 1440.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
