Ok here is my problem, here lately i keep having the same problem with my 122 and my 86. My 122 you can put a new belt on it and mow bout 1 round then it throws it off, and will do this repeatedly, ive put new pulleys, springs, and so on, its the belt from the engine to the deck.
Now my 86 shreads belts on the deck itself, the one for the blades, i put a new one on and mowed half my yard and well its flying apart. So if anyone can help me out here Id appreicate it alot

Can you post pictures of mower deck and mule drive? What we want to see is the angle of the pulleys in relation to the belt. Someone here may spot the problem.

Is the mower on the 122 a pin on deck? If so the eye bolts on the front of the mower are bent. By new ones that could fix the problum on the 122.
On the 86 ar you using OEM belt? I use the belts from TSC that has kevlar in them the oem i found out does not last long but the TSC belt has lasted a year and im still using it. I how this helps you out.

Hi, What size TSC belts do you use? I was at TSC and all they have are 1/2" belts. What 1/2'x? would you use instead of a 3/8"x 80 or 81". I know i"ll have to change the mule drive pullys. Thanks Mike

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
