Here are some pics of the 129 I bought recently. The pic with it all together is the way I bought it. The other pics with the hood off is after I completely rebuilt the engine. It smoked bad when I got it now it runs great. Started to take it apart today so I can redo the whole tractor.

I have a 129 and its a very good little tractor. It was the first one I ever had and now it has grown into an obsession.

Here are some more pics. I tore it all down and pressure washed the crap out of it. You can see someone already did some painting on it before. Didn't put much paint on the inside.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
