Default Newest addition to the shop

To accelerate the restoration projects I picked up this gem at an on-line auction a little more than a month ago. I must admit it is one of the best tools I ever purchased and the price was unbelievable. I'm a tool guy and pretty much had everything covered until this one made it home.

The main reason I'm posting this for is for you guys to keep your eyes open for bargains that are happening right in your back yard. I paid $385.00 for this cabinet and dust collector ready to blast the day I received it in the shop. Retail this one is right at $2,400.00 with the dust collector. When I pulled the filter out of the dust collector it must have weighed 50lbs (no kidding). I rolled it down the hill and it lost about 40 pounds and then I cleaned it with air. Good to go and started blasting away.

I'm using a 10year old Husky compressor 80 gallon tank 10scfm @ 90PSI for the power. It is some what light for the needed pressure for a long period, but I can blast for 30 minutes until the air gets to hot and starts to clog up etc.

So along with the love for the Cubs and the AMC hobby this will be a tool I will have for many years to come. I picked up a Quincy 15HP compressor last week with a 91CFM dryer which is 480V, but I will put this whole rig out at the farm and run it with a generator in a few months. Will update this post with pictures when it all comes together.

Yes I do the safety deal and where ear protection while all three machines are running!

Nice blaster. I've definitely gotten my money's worth out of mine.

I picked it up at Chattahoochee Technical College in Kennesaw right in your back yard!. I think they have a few drill presses left and some other stuff like filing cabinets and desks, but when this came out I was on it like flies on XXXX.

Hey Dwayne it was good seeing you again yesterday and glad to have seen your collection.

Folks to date this was the best collection of lawn tractors I have ever seen in ones possession and after looking at the 6-8 Cubs I learned a lot about the Wheel Horse brand which was a really nice line-up of 7-8.

I should have took a picture of them, but you need to share that collection with the board. Really cool!

Thanks for the compliments!! Really nice chatting with you as well!! To some people my collection is a bunch of "junk", but I really enjoy having them and always enjoy chatting about them. I know this isn't the place, but I will share a picture of most of them lined up for a reference of what I have..... There are a couple that were either camera shy or were not yet here.

Sorry for going off course a little!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
