Default Possible new job

I've been out of work for a couple of months and today I finally broke down and applied at a local staffing agency. On my way home I stopped at a Cub Cadet/Stihl/Echo dealer to buy a couple of chains for my new saw. This place has recently changed ownership and they are still getting everything sorted out and in place. So after talking with the guy at the counter and telling him the difference between full chisel chain and semi-chisel chain he asked me if I needed anything else and I responded with a "I'll take a job if you're hiring." He then asked me if i was serious and I told him I indeed was. He said his dad owned the place and if I was really interested, leave my name and number. They actually called me this evening and I have a interview tomorrow. I would be nice to actually have a job that I could enjoy! If I get the job, I'll be like a fat kid in a candy store!

Wish me luck!

AJ

Good luck AJ. It's hard to find good people that actually know what they are selling or working on these days. You will do great with your knowledge. In my trade (HVAC) we have parts changers in the field and order takers at the supply houses. I wish you all the luck.

I think I have a great shot at it. It's not like I applied for a open position. If I get the job, it's because they created a position for me.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
