Hydro pump question
Got a question for you guys.
The pump for my 2182 does not have the case drain hole, have any of you seen them without it? The front cover and gasket have the holes. Wonder if I need to drill the case while I have it apart. Kind of hard to see with the gasket still on the pump but trust me no drain hole. Looks like all the oil has to return through the bearing.

Thanks for the answer. I wonder why they drilled the front cover for a case drain? Talked to Vince and he told me the last couple Supers that he did the cast iron rears the pumps also did not have drain holes. I was afraid that maybe I had an oddball pump that someone screwed up on. Again thanks.

The earlier pumps have a different design fixed swashplate that (IIRC) is held in with two bolts that fill in the outer two of those three holes, so they probably put that on there so an older pump could be used.
