Air compressor reg solenoid what do I have??
I bought this from a guy that didn't know what he had and neither do I. It's a MFHE-3-1/2 Festo Solenoid and regulator. I don't understand what the solenoid is for. I plan on just using the regulator and doing away with the solenoid unless there is a use for it. Does the solenoid run the compressor or do something more amazing?

This regulator was probably used to control the air supply on and industrial type of machine that had the air supply valve interlocked to the machine power. When the machine was de-energized or "Locked-Out" the air is dumped and the solenoid closes.
You can remove this section from the unit and it should operate just fine.

By the way.........when you install this, pay attention to the directional arrow that is on the unit........somewhere, otherwise, it will not work properly.

does it have 2 or more contacts on the solenoid or 1 (cannot tell ) they should connect to the contact switch to control psi for the tank or it is just a line block
