Default Estate rake

I got a hold of a estate rake and thought I'd give it a try. This is a picture off sales literature, my rake is used but in just as good of shape which makes me wonder why they didn't use it more Anybody ever have any experience with this ?

Looks like a miniature hay rake, My Dad could use one of them things on his lawn, during early summer there is always excess lawn clippings to deal with. He has a lawn sweeper but has to make quite a few trips. I would be curious to see how well they work.

It looks like it's big brother(s) moving straw or hay in the fields waiting to be bailed. Considering sometimes the grass is so high in my yard it can be compared to a hay field that works. I would think that the estate rake would be a better alternative to a lawn sweeper (those don't work all that great IMO) and wouldn't fill up in 10 feet like a bagger.

Now if IH only made a miniature hay bailer for the cubs!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
