I would love to have a sickle mower for one of my Cub Cadets.I have a creek that runs through my property and a sickle mower would be very useful to mow close to the creek without hugging the banks. There are lots of other places where a sickle mower would be very useful. But,I know they are rare and very expensive when one does appear for sale. I hate the thought of paying more for an implement than I did for any one of my 4 tractors!
So,how many different manufacturers made sickle mowers (side mount) for Cub Cadet use? Were there different length bars? Anyway,I will keep my eyes open for a sickle mower or a hens tooth, whichever comes first. LOL!

The only ones im aware of were made by haban and had a 4ft bar. I have one and even though I dont use it alot it is fairly handy. Good luck with your hunting!

These Didier mower's are pretty cool, hydro driven, unfortunately every one I've seen for sale has been a bit pricey compared to the Haban.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
