While looking this evening for video on cultivator set up I ran across this garden tractor that had been converted to electric ... interesting, sure it won't satisfy a lot of needs but was impressed with its performance,

A month ago I was at a gas station and a commercial landscape crew was fueling their truck ... they had several large zero turn lawn mowers with 30lb. propane taks mounted...I asked them how they did and how lonfg they ran ....
said overall maint. was lower (engine) and that a 30lb cylinder lasted a full 8-10 hr. run time. The trick is finding a out of the way place to mount the cylinder. its a great idea. B. |

less deposits in oil after cylinder burn ... stays cleaner longer
plug runs longer no fuel going bad in bowl during storage runs cleaner .. less emissions than gas Alot of city buses now burn lng , look for large bulges on roof. engines run longer and cleaner. They convert diesels to lng ... detroit diesel is big on this for these applications ... pretty cool ! Bryan |

I ran two fork lifts daily for 12 years, the fork lifts each had 4000 hours on them when I got them.
ONCE, at about 6 years, I changed the oil in them. What came out looked like what I put in. Those propane powered engines were amazing. The engines were automotive 4 cylinder Mitsubishi engines. Amazingly clean running. My BIL had a neighbor that ran a propane powered 4010 JD farm tractor. The oil in that tractor never looked like it needed changed. And with propane, there would be no ethanol issues!! ![]() Electric would be good, but, the best option is what is lowest cost at the time. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
