Default Unbelievable Auction, can't believe it

Well the IH world had a huge auction today. I am still in shock but will give you all the details when I go thru the audio I recorded. Somewhere in the neighbor hood of 35 to 40 cubs, went today. All for way too much money. I am very glad for the owner who was there to start everyone that he claimed ran, all but 6 ran. Nothing better than have your life collection be respected by other and being alive to see it. Crazy money, good for Jim, bad for me as I could justify the money. I used logic and not big deep pockets like others that where there. I will get info up ASAP

I bid on this one, i wanted it really bad. Had factory head lights tail light and Brake light. very good deck and the easy rake, 3 point hitch, pto, creaper and hydro pump that lifted the rake and deck. It went for $1500.00 it was not a restored one.

Well here is what i got from the auction audio so far, i will finish the rest tonight. I get pictures to if i get time. So far the best "deal" of the day was a complete non running original that went for $300 buck. motor seemed to be stuck was all there and no fenders.

restored spirit of 76 - $1650
red 282 $1750
Red 382 Hydro $700
red 482 Ih Cub / no deck $1300
Red 582 special / creaper and Deck $1750
Red 782 gas / deck $1650
Red 782D 3pnt hitch /Deck welded exhaust manifold and homemade cut in engine skirt panels $4100
woods lawn vac (seen in Pic) $450
Red 184 lowboy / deck $4100
185 lowbow / no deck nice paint $3100
154 lowboy / deck not restored / weekly worker $2700
60/70's lowboy / deck $2100

The red 184 and the old style lowboy i know for sure on the prices (i bid on these) the 185 and 154 i am pretty sure i remember the price correct. the others are the prices i got them from the audio.

Did your buddy get anything, i might have met him. I didn't realise this was a public auction wasn't the way a member from the chapter explained it to me. oh well live and learn. i will go thru the rest of the audio to night and get up some more pics

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
