Default Just my luck...

I get home from work this evening, and see the mother load of Craigslist deals...4 IH wheel weights and chains for $50!!! I email promptly, I can come tomorrow and will buy them! SHE responds....sale pending! I say I can give $75 if it helps my cause because I need these for plowing snow. I hope someone on here got them because that is a steal. Just thought you guys would appreciate my moment going from Happy to Sad in a matter of minutes.

I know the feeling, had a deal lined up on an 1872 for $500 listed on C-list that went in the crapper.

I was on the opposite end of one of those deals in June.

Called about this one on Wednesday, the guy said come on down Saturday. The price was $500.

I explained I was ready to buy, but, due to company, I could only come today.

The guy said OK.

I got there, it would not go into high gear, the guy said since it only operates in half the gears, how about half price??

I loaded it. I later found out there were over a dozen people going to show up for it on Saturday.

A little silicone spray, it operates in all the gears!!

Ya win some, ya loose some!!

I compounded the hood, it changed color that much!!

I do have to applaud the seller for holding true to her word to the first buyer. I have been on the opposite end where I was the first buyer and someone came with more money (I found out when I drove an hour to pick it up)

A couple years ago, I called a CL ad about this;

The guy said somebody called, but never showed.

I bought it, brought it home painted it, then tried it.

It split wood, but, scared me to death!!

A month later I listed it on CL for four times what I paid.

The guy that bought it came right away, he said he rushed, because he missed one a month earlier because he did not show up right away!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
