Default How many of you have a Gannon Earthcavator ?

I just bought a 1967 124 with power lift and a Gannon Earthcavator was part of the deal.

Here are some photos:

And here are some photos of the 124: Has new tires, seat and wiring harness put on by dealer.

I had never heard of a Gannon Earthcavator before I saw this one.

Package deal $325.

Wow....excellent deal! I have never heard of a Gannon Earthcavator, either, but the hydraulic lift alone was worth the $325!....Better go buy a lotto ticket today! Thanks for sharing the pics.

I think the spring assist on the 124 is unnecessary with the hydraulic lift......Transfer it to another cub!

Actually it was 3 this week.

The 1050 with the new Ag tires and the free parts machine with the 3 point hitch.

The 1200 with front blade and all the implements and Sleeve hitch

And now this 124 with power lift + 3 point hitch and the Gannon

Not showing off. It's just they won't let me rest...

Gannon is still pretty popular on the sw side of the USA. when I lived in Vegas those land scape drags where all called Gannons. even if they were not a Gannon. If you called the Rental company to get a tractor that is what you said. "I wand a 4x4 case 580 with a Gannon." I have been looking hard around my folks place in AZ for a Garden tractor Gannon. nice find, wish I would have got it 1st. lol

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
